AZ SAINTS STAFF

(And a host of USA Football certified, Assistant Coaches & staff not listed)

The heart of our success and the shining example of the AZ Saints are our dedicated volunteer coaches. Our coaching staff brings a diverse range of experiences, including NFL and college backgrounds, but most importantly, they possess years of experience, proven skills, and a commitment to teaching athletes. Coaches are selected for their ability to enhance players’ game awareness, and skills on the field, and, above all, prioritize safety. Through the medium of sports, AZ Saints coaches help young athletes have fun, compete, learn, develop, work hard, and embrace challenges.

All AZ Saints staff members are volunteers, contributing their skills and knowledge out of love for the game and a desire to foster a positive learning environment for our youth. Background checks are conducted on all coaches to ensure a safe environment for our young athletes. At the end of each season, parents, players, and the board evaluate each coach to ensure effective communication and maintain a high standard within our coaching staff.

CAMPBELL

AZ Saints Org Leader

Troy Campbell has been an integral part of the AZ Saints since its founding in 2007. He began as Assistant Head Coach alongside the founder, Larry Thomas, and became Head Coach of the Pee Wee team in 2010. Following Mr. Thomas's departure that same year, Troy stepped into the role of President and has remained Head Coach of the 13U team.

A lifelong Phoenician, Troy is dedicated to giving back to the youth in our community. He graduated from Washington High School, where he was a three-year letterman in football and earned an All-State Honorable Mention in his senior year. He graduated with a BA in Business Administration and capped off his collegiate football career as a Blue Sky All-American Honorable Mention Linebacker, still holding the record for the longest interception return for a touchdown at 99 yards.

Troy lives with his wife, the AZ Saints Business Manager, their son, a former team player, and their daughter. He has also served as the Program Director for the Youth Education and Workforce program for 13 years, where he developed educational and workforce models for various organizations.
